      Abstract

      Both adrenals may most satisfactorily be exposed at one operation through an upper abdominal transperitoneal approach. A technic is described which allows gentle retraction under direct vision of the important structures in anterior relationship to the glands and minimizes the surgical trauma of bilateral resection. The operation is not more difficult than many upper abdominal procedures more frequently performed.
