Abstract
A survey of 2,830 autopsies at Municipal Tuberculosis Sanitarium, Chicago, was made
and a report of 138 patients whose deaths were attributable to pulmonary hemorrhage
were analyzed. Selective cases were described in detail to illustrate the different
mechanisms of massive hemorrhage and a review of the literature given.
