Abstract
In the management of Hirschsprung's disease, preservation of the rectum is possible,
and we believe, on the basis of a limited clinical experience that it is advisable.
The technic described allows the rectum to remain in place and maintain its usual
functions. Several frequent complications incident to its removal are avoided.
