In a career spanning nearly 40 years, Dr. Vic Velanovich has been a transformative figure in the field of surgery. Over that time the focus of his clinical practice and research has shifted to meet the needs of his patients and the communities in which he has practiced. From his early works in sepsis management in burn patients, to a more recent focus on esophageal motility disorders and foregut surgery his interests have remained broad throughout.
