I want to thank Dr. Murayama for his kind introduction. I cherish his and his lovely
wife, Norma's friendship ever since we met in my fellowship 22 years ago. Since then,
we have travelled the globe, eating at Michelin star restaurants, and at least staring
at 1945 Chateau Lafite from a distance. We have settled on annual trips to Napa, where
we can almost afford the wines we choose. He has been an amazing friend and mentor,
and it has always been to my benefit, having him looking over my shoulder all these
years.
