Abstract
Simplified terms for electrosurgical procedures in the abdomen are suggested. The
word “surgical” is omitted from titles used by the author or his associates. Brief
descriptions of the methods are given.
Electrosurgical appendectomy10 or electro-appendectomy.
Electrosurgical cholecystectomy7,8,9 or electro-cholecystectomy.
Electrosurgical gastroenterostomy2 or electro-gastroenterostomy.
Electrosurgical anastomosis4,5 or electroanastomosis.
Electrosurgical enterostomy11 or electroenterostomy.
A recent term is given, electro-cholecystocausis12 (cauterization).
