Abstract
We have presented a case of carcinoma of the sigmoid with an intercolic fistula to
the transverse colon, and an external fistula with abscess formation. Resection of
the transverse colon, splenic flexure, descending colon, and sigmoid was carried out.
A primary anastomosis was made between the proximal transverse colon and distal sigmoid.
No metastases were found and recovery was uneventful.
